Hammerdown Home Renovations and General Construction’s tagline really gets down to brass tacks. It reads: I put clients first. I deliver beyond the expected. I instill confidence.
Hiebert is honoured that Hammerdown’s excellence has been recognized by the MHBA with 3 gold awards for kitchens in 2014, 2015 and 2017, a gold for the bathroom category in 2017, and a gold for the basement category in 2015.
About our home renovations
“It really sums up our customer service focus,” says Tyson Hiebert, company president. “It’s the guiding principle for our company that rests on keeping promises to our clients. Our primary source of new clients is from referrals. It must be working because we’ve been in business for over 12 years and we’ve been steadily growing and prospering.”
The secret to a successful completion of any home renovations start with a good beginning explains Hiebert.
On starting a home renovation project…
“I have always focused on creating a hassle-free experience for our clients during their home renovation. Most people don’t know where to start because the thought of a renovation seems overwhelming, so I have created a process that removes all the stress and makes things easy.”
“Efficiency is extremely important to us. We never start any of our home renovations before every detail is finalized. Our staff works with the client through the entire process from cabinet design and layout, selection of plumbing fixtures, lighting, flooring, tile, grout, paint and every detail in between including the necessary permits.”
In-house interior designer
Having an in-house interior designer who assists with home renovations; selecting flooring, countertops and paint ensures that clients are always aware of the top trends.
“Our office is also located directly above Springfield Woodworking at 893B Redonda Street and we work side by side with their cabinetry designers so the commute is ideal,” quips Hiebert. “We are currently in the process of introducing design software to provide our clients with 3D visuals of their home and look to having it available in the coming months.”
Hammerdown relies on a strong office support team that manages the production schedule and confirms that all products are available prior to starting a project. “Our entire team is very aware of all the details and we communicate with our clients throughout the construction process.”
“We also enjoy doing many styles of renovation from modern to contemporary so we can deliver according to our clients’ tastes and preferences.”
Hammerdown’s deserved recognition and recent achievements for home renovations
Hiebert is an active member of the Renovation Council of Manitoba Home Builders Association. “We meet monthly to discuss what changes are affecting our industry including new building codes. We have been working with the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba introducing a safety certification that we expect to be in place in the coming months. We want to be leaders in the industry and surround ourselves with people that strive for the same. I am also certified as Master Renovator of the Manitoba Home Builder Association.
Hiebert is honoured that Hammerdown’s excellence has been recognized by the MHBA with 3 gold awards for kitchen renovations in 2014, 2015 and 2017, a gold for the bathroom renovation category in 2017, and a gold for the basement renovation category in 2015.
The bottom line…
“At Hammerdown, we are like family. We respect and trust each other. We do not rush hiring new employees. We take the time to make sure that every potential employee is the right fit for us, and that we are the right fit for them. We ensure that the people we hire have the same ethics as us, are professional, and will respect our client’s homes and really know what they are doing.”
