Working with our network of interior designers is beneficial to the consistency of our end-product and its value. As part of our project process, we will meet with you to discuss your project goals, and to get a feel for what you need from your home. With an interior designer present, plans for your renovation project can begin to take shape before our initial consultation has ended.
Why does my home renovation need interior design?
Interior design is the art and science of understanding how you will use the physical space available in your home. It’s all about the delicate balance between functionality and form. Working with an existing structure our interior designer will visualize the unseen potential of your unique space.
Choose Hammerdown for your interior design project
Our interior designer will meet with you in your space to see where your pain points are and where your home can be elevated to new possibilities. Part of this process involves discussing your needs from the space, and your personal style – your design likes and dislikes, and what you envision in the space.
When you choose Hammerdown for your home renovation project, from a small bathroom renovation, to extensive kitchen renovation, to a complete home renovation overhaul, you are given the opportunity to work with a team of professionals who take pride in every step of the design and build process.
Here are the steps involved in our interior design service
Initial interior design consultation
During the initial consultation our experts will meet with you to discuss your remodel. Layouts and materials will be discussed, and we’ll give you an overview of our services and timelines as well as an approximate cost estimate.
Design contract signing
Should you decide to move forward and work with our designer on your project we will ask you to sign a design contract and provide a deposit of 33% of the design fees as outlined in the payment schedule.
First interior design meeting
This first design meeting will be an introduction to your project. Our interior designer will go over the proposal with you, including floor plan layouts, potential materials, and 3D renderings of your space. This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss changes to the floor plan, talk about materials and finishes, and provide any other feedback to the designer.
Offsite interior design + planning
Our interior designer will take your feedback from the first design meeting and apply it to your project. They will also request material samples and finalize all drawings and details.
Second interior design meeting
During the second design meeting our interior designer will show you the final drawings, both 2D and 3D, and have a selection of materials and finishes for you to see. This is your opportunity to make any final changes that you deem necessary.
Offsite interior design + planning feedback
Our interior designer will take your feedback from the second design meeting and apply it to your project. Details will be finalized, and quotes will be requested for your project.
Final interior design meeting
During the final design meeting our interior designer will go over all of the details with you and will be able to provide you with an approximate price for your project.
The Hammerdown Interior Design Process ensures you are comfortable with your home renovation before your commitment to choosing Hammerdown Home Renovations as your renovation expert. Our approach to quoting your remodel provides transparency as to what the actual price for your renovation will be and how long it will take to complete your project, along with a detailed schedule of steps and dates.
