Our fresh, fabulous without-the-fuss farmhouse-style home renovation flows throughout our client’s main floor. We worked with them to transform their main floor with a brand new, bright kitchen renovation, three bathroom renovations, and new flooring and casing throughout.

Let’s start with the farmhouse-style kitchen renovation

Their original kitchen, like many others from decades ago, was very brown with dark cabinets and faux-finished walls. and an awkward bulkhead – all of which were the trends at the time. Needless to say – they were over it!

The kitchen configuration was solid so we kept it the same but installed all new custom cabinets. The cabinets are a modern, stylish two-tone combination with bright white uppers and cool grey bases – with just a touch of blue hue.

The kitchen design has details to spare!

The kitchen design stays true to the classics by adding a white subway tile backsplash that is punched forward with contrasting grey grout to complement the cabinets and countertop colours.

The sink uses an elegant apron-style front – a thing of beauty in itself – from Blanco Silgrant. The subtle serene patterned countertop is Omnia: Carrara Mist quartz and to bring in the modern farmhouse style we used matte black for the cabinet hardware, the faucet, and the wall sconces.  As you can see from the before photos, removing the bulkhead and upgrading the lighting really makes the renovated space shine!

Bathroom renovations are unified but each has their unique touches

Each bathroom renovation made use of similar finishes to the kitchen throughout, perfectly capturing that timeless modern farmhouse design style.

Omnia: Lunar White quartz countertops in a matte finish aligns with the concrete-looking shower tile throughout all of the bathroom renovations. We continued with more matte black hardware, soft neutral tones, and the entire home features Delta faucets throughout – which will give these spaces style for years to come.

Some of the unique aspects of each of the bathroom renovations and interior design include:

  • A natural stone pebble tile shower floor is found in the basement bathroom renovation
  • Dark-stained maple vanities were used in two bathrooms to bring forth a natural element
  • A bright red accent wall in the two-piece ensuite bathroom renovation matches accents found in the primary bedroom
  • The ensuite bathroom also showcases a vanity configured to maximize storage in what was a bit of an awkward space

These clients were beyond thrilled with the results of our modern appeal farmhouse-style renovation for their home’s main floor!
