Hammerdown renovated our bathroom, starting just before Covid-19. They managed to finish it during the worst of the shutdown for the pandemic, the whole time being very professional and mindful of all the regulations. Considering everything that was going on they finished in good time and the results were amazing.

Tyson and Dean were very quick with answering any of our concerns, of which we had very few, and dealt with them immediately. We will highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for renovations.

We hired Tyson and his team at Hammerdown to design and build our dream kitchen (complete with knocking down walls to expand the space!) earlier this year. This was our first major home renovation and we were nervous to “pull the trigger”, especially considering all the horror stories we’d heard from others about their own renovation and contractor experiences. We’re happy to report this was not our experience at all!

From that first meeting to get our estimate up until the very end, Tyson was an absolute delight to work with. We found him incredibly honest, upfront, and professional. We were very comfortable going to him with any questions or concerns. The rest of the team were also fantastic and we never felt anxious about having them in our home unsupervised while we were at work. Their attention to detail was impressive and you could tell they took a lot of pride in their work.

As for the renovation itself, we were very impressed with how well they “contained” themselves despite the scale of the project, and with how well they tidied up after themselves every day before we got home. Communication was quick, clear, and concise, so we always knew what to expect next. Their estimated timelines also proved to be very accurate.

Overall this was a fantastic experience and we couldn’t be happier with our dream kitchen! We will definitely be turning to Hammerdown for future projects

We recently completed a year long whole home renovation with Tyson and his amazing Hammerdown Construction team and we couldn’t be happier! This was our fourth time working with Tyson and his team and there’s a reason we always call him back. Tyson is very knowledgeable and professional and always has his clients best interest at heart. Every step of the project from planning to designing to seeing it all come together in the end was a pleasure to work with Hammerdown and I can say after a year long renovation I’d do it again with Tyson and his team.

As this was an enormous project, we completely gutted a 5000 sf home and started over, there were a lot of outside trades brought in to complete the job. Some days there were several different trades working at once but Tyson and Dean keep everything running smoothly and on time. They coordinated with the different trades and made sure everything was completed to their high standards.

The Hammerdown staff is amazing! They are some of the nicest and politest people I’ve met and they’re very skilled at what they do. Tyson’s employees take pride in their work and it shows in the final product. Their craftsmanship and attention to details is a cut above.

I’d highly recommend Hammerdown Construction to anyone looking to do a renovation big or small. You won’t be disappointed.

Hammerdown provided a complete gut and re-build of our main bathroom. Tyson provided great advice & knowledge regarding all design & material choices. His crew were very professional and provided me with daily updates on the progress that had been accomplished in the day. All of my questions and concerns were answered and explained to me in a timely fashion. The crew were very tidy and no mess was ever left behind at the end of the day.

Having experience in the industry I can say that no corners were cut with these guys, very happy with the bathroom renovation.

We had a kitchen reno done by Hammerdown Home Reno. The workers took pride in their work, satisfied only with an excellent result. The workers were polite and provided resources and advice for decisions that needed to be made. Hammerdown took responsibility for the overall project.

There were no hidden fees or change in cost from the estimate except for what we decided to change or add. we were very pleased with the process as well as the end result. Their work is excellent!

Fabulous company to work with. Very honest, loyal, punctual and CLEAN. Helped with design ideas and provided samples of materials. Coordinated all tradespeople to do their part as needed in a timely manner. Had the same 2 workmen on site at all times. They quickly did the demolition of the ground level of my 4-level split and followed with prepping the floors and walls for rebuilding. They dry walled, painted, laid two types of flooring (vinyl and laminate) and replaced the baseboards.

They were true artists and took great care and pride in their workmanship paying incredible attention to details. In the end, they completely renovated the back hall closet, the two-piece powder room, the kitchen, the dining room and the upper level family room. I would recommend HAMMERDOWN to anyone and everyone in a heartbeat!

The built-in storage tower in the custom made vanity, and the tile shower/tub (was my favourite part of the overall renovation).

He took the job seriously, respected our home. Made a 25 year old house look new. You could tell they worked well together, taking pride in the job they do.

How clean everything was always!

Other Comments:  Never had any issues it was our first professional renovation and everyone treated us so respectful and patient with us with all our questions. The professionalism and quality in the workmanship was impeccable. We literally have no complaints! Can hardly wait to fill up the piggy bank again so we are able to do our kitchen? We have had other people tell us of their nightmare renos….  So glad we had Hammerdown do ours! Could not score them anything less than EXCELLENT!

I cannot say enough about the process from start to finish AND the finish product with this company. So many people roll their eyes when you ask them about a renovation. We recently had a main floor renovation done with Hammerdown. They were awesome to work with. We had a large scope of work to be done and they helped us with all of our ideas and even had a few we hadn’t noticed. We did a total kitchen overhaul and the few issues we have had have been resolved quickly and were minor to begin with. Tyson arranged all of our appointments and met with us to help pick out or many options. They do quality work and answered any question we had. It truly was a pleasure to work with them and would recommend them to any friends who ask.

Hammerdown recently completed total renovations to two bathrooms in my home. The projects were completed on time and within budget. The crew took such incredible care with the quality of the work they did. They were very professional and took incredible care with keeping the rest of my home clean from debris and dust from the construction areas. I was totally impressed with how clean they were able to work with two big projects taking place at one time. They kept me informed of any problems or changes along the way and always consulted and ensured I was satisfied with the work. I am so happy with the results that I will be hiring them for future work to our kitchen. I will not even bother seeking another company for a quote when I’m in a position to renovate my kitchen.

After consulting with another specialty renovation company (who couldn’t provide answers to all our questions), we interviewed Tyson, and then requested a home inspection for an upgrade renovation to our main bath and partial ensuite bath. Tyson provided answers to all our questions, and his quote was competitive. The Hammerdown Project Manager, and tradesmen employed by Hammerdown are very skilled at their jobs. It is evident that they care. They provided updates, were always on time, and Tyson ensured that everything ran smoothly by visiting our home regularly during construction. The interior designer was very good at helping, asking for our input and in deciding the final product choice, cooler etc. Even the sub trades (electrical for re-routing, plumbing for new lines & drains) were excellent, verifying building code for every step needed. Minor issues were corrected quickly and without fuss. We felt comfortable with Tyson and his entire team during 5 weeks of the project. We would be comfortable using Hammerdown again, and have already recommended them to others. Well done!
