Charming, cozy, and chic are the latest inspirations for a recent kitchen renovation. We completed the kitchen renovation for our clients who own an older home, creating a space that blends classic and traditional interior design elements. The result is a kitchen that fits perfectly with the character of this home.
Stylish older home with plenty of warmth
Starting with the newly configured cabinets, finished in a sandbar beige tone using Sherwin Williams paint, radiate warmth from the walls. Tones in the patterned floor, using Mannington Tapestry Linen sheet vinyl, complement the cabinet colour and add visual excitement to the space.
Then, sitting atop the cabinets are Silestone Calacatta gold countertops that provide a clean line between the soft white subway tile backsplash and lower cabinets.
Distinguished decorative interior design details drum up the space
Everywhere you look, little design details add to the kitchen renovation. We included touches of beadboard panelling and a decorative door profile to the built-in floor-to-ceiling hutch in the dining space. The cabinets feature brushed brass hardware that continues with the timeless classic appeal. Then, to round out the details, a stainless bridge faucet by Delta Broderick brings it home.
This lovely kitchen design, painted with Benjamin Moore Soft Chamois, will be soft and bright in the summer and feel like a warm hug in the colder months – both ideal for Winnipeg weather.
