The small family kitchen in this client’s home is almost unrecognizable after our design-build renovation! We used a mixture of bright and bold cabinetry with bright white upper cabinets and dark blueberry lower cabinets. We matched the dual-coloured cabinetry with natural walnut shelving that  brings an open airiness, yet warm feeling to the space.

As part of the interior design planning, we widened the opening between the kitchen and living room. The extra space makes the kitchen renovation feel larger and to do our part, we planned the layout of the kitchen renovation carefully, to ensure we could maximize the space’s full potential.

After the kitchen renovation, the homeowners now have more storage than they ever thought possible. We also included a peninsula to add a boost to the kitchen’s functionality. And, as it frequently happens, as we worked on the kitchen renovation, we helped the homeowners complete a matching update to their hallway closet with a built-in mudroom-style bench and custom millwork.
