Vibrant tones flow throughout this fresh ensuite bathroom renovation! But the story is much larger than the ensuite renovation alone! Our client’s wish list included a spacious walk-in closet featuring upstairs laundry and applying a light facelift to other parts of their home.

Ensuite design and bathroom renovation of our client’s dream

But back to the crown jewel! Our client dreamt of an ensuite renovation that features a large shower, double vanity, and massive upgrades in storage – and we delivered. The statement shower features mixed aqua-blue zellige-style tiles from Ames paired with a matte marble field tile for beauty and balance.

The custom tiled shower with glass shower doors – a Hammerdown bathroom design staple but each unique in its own right – matches the shower bench and niche stone to the countertop material, which is Omnia Carrara mist. Just below the countertop, you’ll find the vanity cabinets in woodgrain melamine, which also is featured throughout the rest of the extensive storage – for a natural, incredibly durable, and water-resistant touch.

Rounding out the fabulously tranquil space is sink and shower faucets by Baril, and accent wall colour features Mt. Rainer Gray paint by Benjamin Moore.

Walk-in closet with walk-in laundry?!

Stepping outside the ensuite and into the primary bedroom, you’ll see the entrance to the walk-in closet. Not only did we meet the requirement of upstairs laundry, but it’s conveniently close – built into the walk-in closet.

What isn’t readily apparent is the additional work we completed throughout the home, including converting two smaller bedrooms into this primary suite. The process involved installing a structural beam and perfectly patching their existing hardwood floors for a seamless result.

Additional mini-remodelling projects round out this home renovation

While working with this client, we also updated the paint throughout their home and remodelled their main bathroom, including a new bathtub with tile surround.

Both bathrooms focus on accessible renovations and aging-in-place needs, installing grab bars in multiple sizes and locations. Our clients will be able to remain in and continue to enjoy their new bathrooms for years to come!
