The built-in storage tower in the custom made vanity, and the tile shower/tub (was my favourite part of the overall renovation).
Sometimes a project is easier than you think it’s going to be. We were pleased to be asked by a returning client to consult on his bathroom renovation. After discussing the project we realized that the bathroom layout was ideal, and a facelift was really all that was needed. As the plumbing fixtures were going to stay in the same place, we were able to really focus on the design aesthetic.
While we in the midst of the bathroom renovation, the client asked if we wouldn’t be able to also help out with another project, an overhaul of the basement laundry / utility room. Of course we were happy to expand the scope of the work and tackled all of these spaces.
Bathroom
For the bathroom, the space was somewhat confined, so large light-tone tiles were selected to help create a more expansive feel, and a beautiful vertical glass mosaic inset helps to draw the eye upward (Ames Tile and Stone). A stainless steel shelf adds a contemporary feel, and a frameless glass sliding shower door finishes the upscale look. The brushed stainless steel look was carried over to fixtures and lighting (Robinson Lighting).
Laundry / Utility Room
While the functionality of the laundry and utility room took priority, we also wanted to make sure it looked good. New cabinetry doubled the storage space, and new durable vinyl flooring made the space more comfortable to work in.
